Hatz Learn reporting shows which learners have enrolled, started, or completed their applicable courses. MSP administrators can review an authorized client portfolio, while client administrators can review their own company.
Which instructions should I use? If your navigation includes Learn, use the Hatz Learn steps below. If you still see Learning Portal or Generate LMS Report, use the legacy reporting steps at the end of this article.
Open Hatz Learn reporting
Sign in to the Hatz Admin Dashboard.
Select Learn.
If you are in a company view, select Dashboard from the Learn navigation.
An MSP administrator sees a portfolio with one row per authorized tenant. Select a tenant to open its course and learner reports. A client administrator starts in that company's reporting dashboard.
The tenant dashboard has two views:
Course summary: View eligible learners, enrollment coverage, and completion coverage for each course. Select a course to see each learner's status.
Learner roster: View how many applicable courses each learner has enrolled in and completed. Select a learner to see their course-by-course progress.
Use the search, learning-status, and sort controls to narrow the current view.
Understand the reporting metrics
Learner reach: Eligible learners with at least one enrollment, divided by eligible learners.
Enrollment coverage: Enrolled learner-course pairs, divided by currently eligible learner-course pairs.
Completion coverage: Completed learner-course pairs, divided by currently eligible learner-course pairs.
A learner's completion remains complete when Hatz publishes a new version of the same course. Current coverage can differ from historical enrollment totals because former or ineligible learners and non-applicable course pairs are not included in the current denominator.
A company with no eligible learners or applicable published courses can legitimately show 0/0. This alone does not indicate a permission problem.
Export learning data
Open the MSP portfolio or a tenant's Hatz Learn dashboard.
Select Export data.
Choose the report type.
Select Download CSV.
From the MSP portfolio, choose:
Portfolio summary: One row per active authorized tenant with learner reach, enrollment coverage, and completion coverage.
Learner summary: One row per learner with applicable, enrolled, and completed course totals.
Activity detail: One row per current eligible learner-course pair with active access, status, progress, and activity dates.
From a tenant dashboard, choose:
Course summary: One row per course with learner eligibility, enrollment, and completion coverage.
Learner activity: One row per current eligible learner-course pair with active access, status, progress, and activity dates.
To identify who has and has not finished each current applicable course, choose Activity detail or Learner activity, then filter the CSV's Status column. A completed row also includes its completion date. These exports exclude historical course versions, ineligible learner-course pairs, revoked access, and retired records.
Reporting permissions
Viewing reports requires View Academy Team Progress. Exporting requires both View Academy Team Progress and Export Academy Reports in the same tenant scope.
The built-in MSP roles with portfolio-wide reporting access are:
Primary Admin
Admin
Compliance Manager
Tenant Manager does not include Hatz Learn reporting permissions by default. A built-in Client Admin can report on the assigned company only. Custom roles receive only the permissions configured for that role.
If Learn is disabled for a company, current coverage is unavailable, but historical enrollment activity remains available as read-only reporting.
Automate reports through the API
Developers can retrieve the same portfolio, tenant, learner, and course reporting data through the Hatz API. See Hatz Learn Reporting API documentation. API keys use their owner's current permissions; see API Keys.
Troubleshooting Hatz Learn reports
Dashboard is missing: Confirm the user has View Academy Team Progress and that Hatz Learn reporting is available to that user.
Portfolio says No authorized tenants: The MSP user has no tenant in scope for View Academy Team Progress. Confirm that the permission is assigned at MSP scope and that account-team access includes the expected tenants.
Export data is missing: Confirm the user has both reporting permissions in the same scope.
A tenant shows 0/0: Open the tenant and confirm whether it has eligible learners and applicable courses. Zero denominators can be valid.
Historical totals differ from current coverage: Current coverage excludes learners and course pairs that are no longer eligible or applicable.
If you still use the legacy Learning Portal
Organizations that have not moved to Hatz Learn can continue using the legacy LMS report:
Sign in to the Admin Dashboard.
Select the tenant you want to review.
Select Generate LMS Report.
Download and save the CSV.
