Asana Integration

Asana Integration

Overview

Use the Asana integration to work with your tasks, projects, teams, and workspaces directly from Hatz.
The provider endpoint for this integration is https://mcp.asana.com/v2/mcp.
Hatz connects to Asana using Asana’s official MCP server. Each user connects their own Asana account via OAuth and Hatz only accesses the workspaces and data that user can already access in Asana.

Common use cases

  • Look up tasks, projects, and deadlines from a Hatz conversation or workflow.

  • Create or update tasks and projects without leaving Hatz.

  • Generate a project status summary or daily task digest.

  • Add stories or comments to a task as part of an automated workflow.

Example asks

  • "What tasks are assigned to me in Asana this week?"

  • "Create a task in the Marketing project called ‘Draft Q3 newsletter’ due next Friday."

  • "Summarize the status of the Website Redesign project in Asana."

  • "Add a comment to task 12345 saying the design review is complete."

Prerequisites

  • An Asana account with access to the workspaces and projects you want Hatz to use.

  • Access to the Hatz Connections screen.

Connect the integration

  1. In Hatz, open Workshop and select Connections.

  2. Find Asana and click Connect.

  3. Complete the Asana OAuth flow and click Allow to grant Hatz access.

  4. Test the connection with an ask such as "What tasks are assigned to me in Asana?"

Troubleshooting

  • Authentication failures usually mean the Asana OAuth session is incomplete or expired. Disconnect and reconnect the integration.

  • If Hatz can’t find a project or task, confirm the connected Asana account has access to it.

  • If the integration is not visible in Hatz, ask a Hatz admin to confirm your workspace has access.
