What is the Hatz Workshop Assistant?

The Hatz Workshop Assistant is your conversational AI partner for building, managing, and running powerful automations, workflows and agents within the Hatz AI Workshop. It allows you to use natural language to interact with your Workshop items, dramatically speeding up the creation and iteration process.

Connecting with the 40+ Integrations available in the Hatz Platform build complex workflows in seconds. The Hatz AI Workshop is your key to unlocking new levels of productivity for yourself, and your customers.

Instead of manually clicking through menus, building prompts, creating inputs, selecting integrations - you can simply tell the Assistant what you want to achieve, and it will handle the technical steps for you.

Understanding Workshop Items

The Assistant is designed to work with the three core components of the Workshop:

  • Automations (Apps): Single-purpose tools that perform a specific task from start to finish. Ideal for simple, one-off jobs like summarizing text or drafting an email.

  • Workflows: Multi-step pipelines that chain prompts and tools together. The output of one step becomes the input for the next, allowing for complex, automated processes.

  • Agents: Reusable, conversational chatbots with a specific persona, instructions, and tools. They can be deployed to handle interactive tasks.

What Can the Assistant Do?

The Workshop Assistant can perform a full range of actions on your behalf.

  • Create: You can ask the Assistant to create new Apps, Workflows, or Agents from a simple description. It will generate the necessary structure and prompts to get you started.

    • Example: "Create a workflow that takes a blog post URL, summarizes it, and then writes a tweet about it."

  • Search & Discover: The Assistant can find items in your workspace or public items created by others.

    • Example: "Find the workflow I created last week for writing articles."

  • Inspect & Understand: You can ask the Assistant to explain what any Workshop item does, what inputs it requires, and how it is configured.

    • Example: "What does the 'Image Analyzer' app do?"

  • Modify & Update: The Assistant can edit existing items. You can ask it to add, remove, or change steps in a workflow, update a prompt, or change the model an App uses.

    • Example: "In my 'Article Writer' workflow, add a new step at the end to translate the final article into Spanish."

  • Copy (Duplicate): If you find a useful App or Workflow in the public Workshop, you can ask the Assistant to create a copy in your personal workspace for you to edit.

    • Example: "Copy the 'Meeting Summarizer' app to my workspace."

  • Run & Execute: You can tell the Assistant to run any App, Workflow, or Agent directly from the chat interface by providing it with the necessary inputs.

    • Example: "Run the 'Email Polisher' app on this text: [your draft email text]"

Tips for Effective Communication

To get the best results from the Workshop Assistant, follow these tips:

  • Be Specific: Instead of saying "make an app," describe what you want the app to do. For example, "Create an app that takes a job description and a resume and writes a cover letter."

  • Refer to Items by Name: When you want to modify or run an existing item, use its name to avoid ambiguity. For example, "Add a step to the 'Social Media Post Generator' workflow."

  • Describe Your Goal: If you're unsure how to build something, describe the outcome you want. The Assistant can often propose a suitable structure for an App or Workflow.
