Salesforce has recently updated its OAuth and security policies. In response to these changes, we have updated our documentation to ensure a seamless connection experience for our users.
This update primarily affects brand new users connecting to Salesforce through the Hatz platform for the first time.
Who is impacted?
This policy update only impacts brand new users of the Salesforce integration. If you have ever connected your Salesforce account to the Hatz platform before, you will not be impacted by this change.
What is changing?
Effective October 15th, 2025, for all new connections, a Salesforce Administrator in your organization must pre-approve the Hatz application before any other user can connect their account. This is a one-time action that needs to be taken by a Salesforce Admin to allow the Hatz app to access your Salesforce data via OAuth.
Action Required for Salesforce Admins
To ensure that your team can continue to connect to Salesforce without interruption, please follow these steps:
Login as a Salesforce Admin into your Salesforce account.
Navigate to Setup.
In the Quick Find box, search for "Connected Apps OAuth Usage".
Find the app named Composio and click Install.
On the next screen, click Install again.
6. After installation, review the settings for the Composio app and ensure that Permitted Users is set to "All users may self-authorize".
Once these steps are completed, your team members will be able to connect their Salesforce accounts to the Hatz platform seamlessly.
