Get Started Faster with Chat Templates
Starting a conversation with AI can sometimes feel like staring at a blank page. Chat Templates remove that friction by giving you a curated library of ready-to-use prompts, organized by what you're trying to accomplish.
Who This Is For
Available to all Hatz users. Especially helpful for teams new to AI prompting or building repeatable workflows.
How It Works
When you open a new chat, you'll see four category cards at the top of the screen:
Web Search - Run AI-powered searches across the web to find the latest news, competitive analysis, industry trends, and best practices.
Image Generation - Create visuals on demand: hero images, product mockups, social media graphics, and concept art.
Build an Agent - Design custom AI agents and automated workflows for your business, from customer support bots to data processing pipelines.
Prompts by Industry - Browse prompt collections tailored to your field, including MSPs, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Sales, Legal, and more.
Picking a Template
Click any category card to open a prompt gallery. Each category includes several professionally written prompts designed to get high-quality results. Just click the one that fits your goal and the chat starts immediately.
For example, under Web Search you might choose:
"Search for the latest AI developments and trends"
"Find competitive analysis on emerging technologies"
"Discover industry news and market insights"
Under Finance, you could select:
"Create a monthly budget variance report"
"Generate financial projections for next quarter"
"Analyze cash flow trends and forecast"
Write Your Own
Don't see exactly what you need? Several categories include a custom prompt option. Click "Add your own prompt," type what you're looking for, and go. You still get the benefit of any tools the category provides - the template just gives you a head start.
Industry-Specific Prompts
The Prompts by Industry section is organized into subcategories so you can quickly find workflows relevant to your role:
Industry | Example Prompts |
MSPs | Network monitoring alert summaries, monthly IT service reports, security incident response plans |
Marketing | Social media captions, content calendars, email sequences for lead nurturing |
Operations | Onboarding flowcharts, standard operating procedures, supply chain optimization |
Finance | Budget variance reports, financial projections, cash flow analysis |
Sales | Enterprise sales pitches, follow-up email sequences, objection handling |
Legal | NDA templates, contract summaries, GDPR compliance checklists |
Universal | Professional emails, document summaries, brainstorming sessions, meeting action plans |
Tool Connections
Some templates are powered by specialized tools. Web Search templates use Firecrawl and other search integrations to pull live data from the web. Build an Agent templates open Workshop, Hatz's agent builder. Image Generation templates connect image models depending on your settings.
If a template requires a tool you haven't enabled yet, you'll see a quick setup prompt before the chat begins. This ensures every template works as intended from the first message.
Best Practices
Start with a template, then refine. Templates are conversation starters, not limits. Follow up with more specific questions to dive deeper.
Try the Industry section. Even if your exact role isn't listed, the Universal category has prompts that work for everyone.
Use custom prompts for recurring tasks. If you find yourself typing the same request often, use a template category's custom input to save time - the right tools will be pre-selected for you.
