Rate limiting and credit overage

Each tenant has a monthly credit allowance that is shared across all users and AI features. When that allowance is reached, usage does not stop immediately — Hatz provides additional capacity to help your team keep working.

Customers who are able to enable Extra Usage have different overage limits. MSP admins can check tenant eligibility from the tenant overview in admin.hatz.ai or from the Tenants tab. Tenant admins may see an Extra Usage request option on the workspace Usage page when their organization is eligible.

What happens when you reach your monthly allowance?

When your organization reaches 100% of its monthly credit allowance, Hatz may provide limited additional capacity for efficient AI usage depending on your plan and current product configuration.

Auto Lite routes requests to lower-credit models well suited to everyday tasks. If you have the model selector open, you may notice that more credit-intensive models become unavailable during this period.

What happens after the extra credits are used?

Once any additional overage capacity is exhausted, AI usage may be limited or suspended for the organization until access is restored. Platform login and the Admin Dashboard may remain accessible while AI features are limited.

Email alerts

Admins receive email notifications as usage approaches and reaches the monthly allowance:

  • At 75% — heads-up notification, no restrictions yet

  • At 100% — allowance reached; limited overage behavior may apply depending on plan and configuration

  • After overage capacity is exhausted — AI usage may be limited or suspended until access is restored

How to restore full access

  • Upgrade your package — increases the monthly allowance and takes effect immediately

  • Enable Extra Usage — if available for your organization, allows your team to continue beyond the monthly allowance up to the configured cap. MSP admins can enable it from the tenant overview in admin.hatz.ai; tenant admins may be able to request it from the workspace Usage page.

  • Wait for the monthly reset — credits reset on the 1st of each calendar month
