What are Permission?
Permission are used to increase a user's capabilities within a platform by extending access and functionality beyond the limitations of their current User Profile.
How are they different than User Profiles?
Unlike user profiles, which define the baseline level of access and capabilities, Permissions do not remove existing functionality but can grant additional capabilities, offering more flexibility and access to users without changing their primary role.
Can I limit a users capabilities with Permission?
No. Permissions do no remove any functions established by the User Profile.
What is a Permission Group?
A Permission Group is a collection of individual Permissions bundled together to streamline the management of user access and capabilities within a system. By grouping multiple Permissions, administrators can efficiently assign a broad range of functionalities and access levels to users all at once, rather than assigning each Permission individually.
Why would I want to create a Permission Group?
To simplify access management, reduce the potential for errors, and ensure consistency in the Permissions granted to users who require similar access patterns across a platform.
