Enforce MFA Settings

Enable or disable multi-factor authentication (MFA) for your organization.

Enforcing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) greatly enhances security by requiring additional verification beyond just usernames and passwords. It protects against fraud, identity theft, and credential-based attacks, aligning with industry compliance standards. Implementing MFA is a critical step in a comprehensive security strategy.

MSP Admins

If you're an MSP Admin (you log in via admin.hatz.ai), then you can enforce MFA for:

  • Specific tenant(s) including your own

    • Admin > Tenants > Select the tenant > Organization Settings

Admin path for enforcing MFA for a specific tenant, with annotated steps to tenant organization settings and the Enforce MFA toggle.

  • ALL tenants

    • Admin > Settings > Global Settings

Admin global settings path for enforcing MFA across all tenants, with annotated arrows to Settings, Global Settings, and the Enforce MFA toggle.

Client Admin

If you are not an MSP Admin, but you're the Client Admin for your organization, you can enforce MFA for:

  • Your own tenant

    • Log into Hatz > Workspace > Org Settings

Client workspace organization settings path for enforcing MFA for the current tenant, with note that global enforcement overrides the client admin toggle.

However, if your MSP has enforce MFA for your org, you cannot override this to turn it off.
