Overview
The Downgrade Packages feature allows you to move your Hatz subscription to a lower-tier plan. Downgrades can only be performed by MSPs through the admin view. When you schedule a downgrade, your current plan stays fully active until the start of your next billing period — so you won't lose access to anything mid-month.
Before You Begin
Before initiating a package downgrade, make sure the following conditions are met:
Billing Permission: You must have billing permission on your account. Not every user has this — check with your account owner or administrator if you're unsure.
Current Plan Tier: Downgrades are not available if you are already on the Intro or Starter plan, as these are the lowest-tier plans offered.
SAML Configuration: If your organization has SAML single sign-on (SSO) set up, and the plan you want to downgrade to does not support SAML, you will need to remove your SAML configuration before the downgrade can proceed.
How It Works
When you downgrade your package, the change is scheduled, it doesn't happen immediately. Your current plan remains fully active until the first day of your next billing month, at which point your account automatically switches to the new, lower-tier plan.
Here's what you can expect:
Your current features remain available until the end of the billing period
Billing adjusts right away, your Stripe subscription is updated immediately, but you won't be charged any prorated fees or credits/refunds for the remainder of the current month
Only one pending change at a time — if you already have a package change scheduled (from a previous request), it will be automatically replaced by your new downgrade request
